This 5 Ways to Wellbeing Resource Pack has been created by La Trobe University public health student Adriana Goscha as part of a special campaign during her placement with Bendigo Community Health Services in 2020.

Another La Trobe University student Ali Aletabi also worked on the campaign.

The 5 Ways to Wellbeing campaign saw different activities and information delivered throughout a week following the themes of Be Active, Take Notice, Keep Learning, Connect and Give.

Bendigo Community Health Services has reviewed all services and programs given the current Coronavirus threat with the safety of our consumers and staff as the highest priority.

The Coronavirus threat means we must change the way we deliver some services.

We are now using Telehealth for appointments so our doctors and other health professionals can consult with you by phone or video link from the safety and comfort of your home. They will then decide if you need a face-to-face consult which will be done at our Eaglehawk site (3 Seymoure Street).

Don’t worry if your face-to-face appointment at BCHS gets changed to a Telehealth appointment - just follow the instructions in this step by step guide and it’s as simple as answering your phone or clicking on the email link we send you for video appointments!

All new appointments will be Telehealth first.

Please call our Client Services team on 5406 1200 if you have any concerns.

Bendigo Community Health Services will open a new dedicated HeadtoHelp mental health hub from Monday (September 14).

Our CEO Gerard Jose said the HeadtoHelp hub would play a vital role in supporting people in need across Greater Bendigo particularly during this Coronavirus pandemic.

"Bendigo Community Health Services welcomes the opportunity to further support people in need in our community through the new HeadtoHelp hub," Gerard said.

"We are well aware there are people out there struggling through this Coronavirus pandemic who are not getting the help they need and this initiative is the opportunity to reach out to them and provide that valuable support.

"Our staff are committed to HeadtoHelp and we believe this can make a real difference in the community."

Our HeadtoHelp hub will run from the Kangaroo Flat site at 19 Helm Street with anyone needing support to call 1800 595 212 for an appointment.
