Our trained staff will take you on a tour of a Bendigo supermarket to teach you everything you need to know about healthy shopping.
The How to Shop Healthy Tours are a fun, practical and interactive way to discover how to make the right choices when it comes to shopping for food.
Does the thought of reading food labels overwhelm you? Do you need more information to make the right food choices? Would you like to learn about what your body needs?
Our free nutrition education sessions will teach you what it means to eat a balanced diet.

Our Community Soup Kitchen operates from the arcade at 171 Hargreaves Street in Bendigo every Thursday from 4pm to 5pm. Enjoy a free bowl of hot soup in winter or refreshing chicken and salad in the warmer months.

You can experience a healthier and stronger you, improve your overall quality of life and meet plenty of new friends through our Strength Training Program.
Our trained instructor will guide you at your own pace through strength training to improve strength, fitness, flexibility and quality of life.
Walking programs - Walk Your Way To Better Health
Spring to your heels and join one of our walking groups. The groups are led by trained facilitators at each location. We also arrange information sessions related to health and wellbeing for participants.
Our Social Support Group at Elmore can help you to keep your independence and wellness by being engaged and supported to live in the community. The group offers a range of activities such as day trips, music programs, bingo, films, craft and ‘the shed’.

Our trained staff can help you manage your chronic disease.
Being diagnosed with a respiratory condition such as asthma can be a frightening experience. Our trained staff can work with you to manage your condition safely.
Diabetes for life program
The Life! Program is a Victorian lifestyle modification program that helps you reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
- cardiovascular disease (including myocardial infarction, angina and angioplasty)
- gestational diabetes
- moderate or severe Chronic Kidney Disease
- familial hypercholesterolemia
- serum total cholesterol >7.5mmol/L
- systolic BP of ≥ 180mmHg or diastolic BP of ≥ 110mmHg
- impaired glucose tolerance (by FPG, OGTT or HbA1c)
- polycystic ovary syndrome
- 45 years or more, or ≥ 35 years and of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent, and have an Absolute Risk score of ≥10% when referred by a GP clinic
