Tradies and businesses breathe easy with BCHS spirometry testing

Bendigo Community Health Services is calling on local manufacturers, spray painters, fabricators, panel beaters and sand blasters to book their spirometry tests with the BCHS Workplace Health & Wellbeing nurses.

Nurses Heather and Kate have now opened spirometry testing appointments up to new clients.

Heather said it was vital for employees to ensure at-risk staff were monitored for lung function and capacity.

“It’s always best to be on the front foot with testing, to ensure staff are safe and Worksafe obligations are being met,” she said.

Thales Bendigo has done just that.

“We chose to use Bendigo Community Health Services for one simple reason: prior to using this service we had to get both our fabricators, paint and blast operators booked into a medical practice, this process could take a couple of months to complete all testing and it was becoming really hard to get appointments for our employees,” a spokesperson said.

“Bendigo Community Health Services were chosen because they provide this service on site in a very timely manner. It’s usually completed within two weeks and they do the catch ups very quickly also.

“The mighty team that do the testing, both Heather and Kate, are always professional and respectful to our needs.

“We would and do recommend them to anyone who asks without hesitation.”

Thanks to Thales for the testimonial!
