If you need the refuge of somewhere cool, head to an indoor shopping centre, a neighbourhood house, or one of the Goldfields Library branches.
- Stay cool – use air conditioning or a fan. Wear light and loose clothing. Use a water spray bottle or damp cloth.
- Stay hydrated – Drink plenty of water.
- Stay connected – Check in with family, friends and neighbours, especially those at increased risk like those over 65yrs, young children or people with certain medical conditions.
- Hot cars kill – Never leave anyone alone in cars on hot days. Ensure air conditioning is operating before driving.
- Adhere to the TOTAL FIRE BAN DAY
