“We’re sure these amazing prizes will be especially welcomed by people whose gift budgets may be stretched this year,” said BCHS Health Promotion officer Sebastian, who will be there to promote the 5 Ways to Wellbeing, of which one is ‘connect’.
“We’d really love to see people from Bendigo head up to Heathcote for the day and connect with the community there,” said Sebastian.
“We know that socialising with friends, family and others is important for good health and wellbeing, and so is broadening your social networks and range of relationships with others in the wider community.
“We also know that social participation is the most significant difference you can make towards high levels of wellbeing, which is why we love this wonderful Heathcote event.”
The day is thanks to the work of Heathcote Primary Health, Heathcote Health and Heathcote Community House.
“The Heathcote Community Smiles Day was created by Dr Adel Asaid OAM, of Heathcote Primary Health, to bring smiles to the faces of local young people, and has become one of the most-anticipated events in the region,” said Michelle Chapman, of Heathcote Health.
Come along and see us at the Heathcote Community Smiles Day from 11am to 2pm on Saturday, November 25 at Barrack Reserve in Heathcote.
