Capture a snapshot of history through the Women’s Resilience Project

Women are being invited to share a snapshot of recent history through a partnership between Bendigo Community Health Services and Women’s Health Loddon Mallee.

As we reflect on the past two years and the impact of Covid, we acknowledge women’s mental health has been more severely impacted in comparison to men (ABS, 2020).

Women reported higher rates of anxiety, insomnia, distress, and depression than males.

For this reason, the two organisations are continuing their series of workshops with women to boost resilience.

The next workshop will showcase through photography, how local women have built and sustained their resilience during COVID-19 times.

This is how it works….

15 women can participate in two free photography workshops, while learning about the 5 Ways to Wellbeing.

In this workshop women will learn and share with each other how they use the 5 ways to wellbeing, which are Connect, Give, Be Active, Keep Learning and Take Notice, to boost mental wellbeing.

In the workshops, women will be provided basic photography skills, aimed to help them capture pictures of what has strengthened their resilience during COVID-19.

After completion of the workshops, BCHS and WHLM will showcase the women’s works and stories in a local exhibition and online.

Sounds like something you would like to participate in?
