Coronavirus Bendigo – nurses deliver an important Easter message for you to follow ‘please stay home’

Please_stay_home

It’s been a very long few weeks for our staff who continue to turn up for work each day because they care for the health and wellbeing of our community.

That’s never been more important than this Coronavirus time.

These great nurses took a break from delivering flu shots to ‘high risk’ clients today to share a special message we all want you to follow this Easter ... please stay home!

Yes, Easter is usually a time for getting out and celebrating with family or friends. We will all do that again one day but not this year!

Yes, it’s a very different Easter but it’s Easter all the same. Celebrate at home. Use technology to visit others. Go camping in the backyard if that’s your Easter tradition!

Our health leaders are clear you should only leave home for four reasons – to buy food or other necessary goods, to get medical help or provide care, for work/education or to exercise following social distancing rules. That’s it!

Doesn’t mean you can’t have a happy and safe Easter break.

Please join us in thanking not only our staff but everyone working on the ‘frontline’ to care for the community at this time. We depend on them!

Our Eaglehawk site will be closed for the Easter break and reopen on Tuesday at 8am as normal.

If you have an emergency ring 000 immediately.
