Bendigo BetterConsult system means you will get much more out of an appointment with our doctors

We are always looking for better ways to improve your healthcare.

So it's exciting to let you know BetterConsult has arrived at Bendigo Community Health Services to improve the experience and service for people seeing our doctors at the medical practice.

All clients making an appointment with one of our doctors will now get an SMS text message with a link to a BetterConsult questionnaire to fill out before arriving to see your doctor.

The questionnaire is safe and secure and allows you to let us know the reason you want to see the doctor and any important information your doctor needs to know so they can be ready to make the most of your appointment and give you the best healthcare information possible.

This includes better information on possible treatments and more time to make sure you fully understand what you need to improve your health.

A HealthShare survey has found that more than half of patients who see their doctor actually end up talking about something totally different to why they made the appointment so with BetterConsult we're getting the information we need before you arrive so you can have more time to talk about your healthcare.

How BetterConsult works

You will get a BetterConsult SMS text message on the day before your appointment or straight away if your appointment is within 24 hours of making the booking. The SMS text message will give you a link to the safe and secure questionnaire to fill out before seeing your doctor. Remember you can make a booking with one of our doctors by going to our www.bchs.com.au website and clicking on the ‘Book an appointment’ bar at the top of the homepage. Or you can call our Client Services staff on 5406 1200.

Which clients will receive a BetterConsult SMS text message?

All of our medical practice clients who are under 70 years of age who have an appointment with the doctors using BetterConsult will receive the SMS.

What do I do when the BetterConsult SMS text message arrives?

1.    Click the secure link in the SMS text message.

2.    Register or login to your free BetterConsult account

3.    Complete the BetterConsult questionnaire

Is BetterConsult safe to use?

BetterConsult makes sure your medical information is private, confidential and totally secure. The BetterConsult system must follow Australian data privacy laws.
