It's Early Childhood Educator's Day.
A time to say thank you to all those educators out there who open up their homes to care for children.
Our Family Day Care team is lucky to have a team of wonderful educators across the City of Greater Bendigo and Loddon Shire Council areas.
To celebrate the day we've asked one of our mums Melanie Brennan to share her thoughts on using the service.

Can you tell us why you chose Bendigo Family Day Care?
I grew up going to family day care, which I hold fond memories of and have maintained lifelong friendships from even a young age. I wanted my children to have the same opportunity to be cared for in a home-like environment, with small group sizes and the chance to establish life long friendships and more tailored and personalised care.
What have been your favourite experiences with Caitlyn’s Family Day Care service?
My favourite experiences are seeing the smiles on the girls’ faces through updates from Caitlyn while I am at work. This is backed up by the girls being in such an upbeat and happy mood after a day at Caitlyn’s. They are always so excited to tell us what they have been up to and each day there something different and new to be shared.

What do you think have been positive experiences for Mia and Indi while in family day care with Caitlyn?
The environment Caitlyn has created for family day care is exactly what we envisioned for our children when we considered family day care. It is like a home away from home for our girls who just see it as going to their friends’ house for the day. The activities set up for play and education are sensational and the girls love exploring the outdoors and baking at 'Caitie's house'. From the moment we step inside the girls are eager to take off and have some fun. The girls have such a special bond with Caitlyn and always love going to day care.
Making friends and having fun is part of the Family Day Care experience for educators and the children.
Why do you want to say thanks to your educator?
We want to say a massive thank you to Caitlyn for all that she has done for us as a family. Many times it feels as though you go above and beyond and we can't thank you enough for all the love, care, support and teaching that your give! It is so reassuring to be able to go to work and know that your children are cared for exactly as you would be if you could. Our experience has been so positive and Caitlyn does an amazing job and for that we are truly thankful.
