We are on the look out for complimentary therapists to partner in an exciting new project hosting therapeutic groups for people with refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds in Bendigo.

Our aim with this Foundation House-funded project is to work with people who have lived experience and symptoms of trauma to help them manage and increase their mental health and wellbeing.

We need caring, thoughtful and motivated therapists who have an interest in working with this client group and a willingness to learn more about trauma and culturally informed practices.

We're particularly interested in areas such as:

The idea is for you to co-facilitate sessions within our therapeutic program to teach skills and techniques to participants and explore the strategies they already use.

Our Foundation House Complementary Therapy Team will provide training and support around the specific nature of this work and our Bi-Cultural Workers will be on hand to help with translation during sessions.

Therapists must be qualified and experienced with the ability to provide an invoice for services.

If we have caught your interest with this opportunity please pick up the phone and call Casey Ross or Janaya Wiggins on 5406 1200 to learn more.
