We were incredibly humbled by the amazing turnout for the opening of the Fork In The Road community hub at our Central site today.
The goodwill and generosity of the people in the room and the Bendigo community at large has allowed us to create Fork In The Road to support the disadvantaged, vulnerable, lonely and homeless in Bendigo.
Fork In The Road is home to our Thursday Soup Kitchen and activities/programs designed to engage with those in need, support them and build skills that provide opportunity to a different path in life.
A partnership with the Department of Justice is already having significant success around social cohesion for their clients and Thursday Soup Kitchen attendees.
To everyone who has supported us on our journey to create Fork In The Road we sincerely thank you - as an unfunded project this would never have come to life without your valuable contributions.
Thank you to Federal Member for Bendigo Lisa Chesters MP and Member for Bendigo West Maree Edwards MP for speaking at today's launch and we were chuffed our life member Jeff Wallis helped them cut the ribbon to Fork In The Road along with our board chair Geoff Bowyer.
