If you’re new to our organisation, let us share a little bit about who we are and what we do.
Bendigo Community Health Services is a not-for-profit organisation established in 1974 that today offers more than 50 services and programs designed to care for the health and wellbeing of our community.
We operate from four main locations - Bendigo central (171 Hargreaves Street), Eaglehawk (3 Seymoure Street), Kangaroo Flat (13 Helm Street) and Elmore (46 Jeffrey Street).
We are also the lead agency in the running of headspace Bendigo which cares for the mental and general health of young people aged 12 to 25 at 78-80 Pall Mall.
Our staff are dedicated to looking after consumers of all ages who turn to us for care and support in the areas of:

- Settlement services (supporting new refugee families)

- Elmore Planning Activity Group
A majority of our services are free for consumers but some services do attract a minimal fee.
Our organisation is undertaking the biggest change in focus in our 40-year history.
We are building a $2.6 million kidzspace centre at Kangaroo Flat which will centralise all our child and family services under one roof.
Kidzspace will be a major asset in our new direction to break the cycle of disadvantage in Bendigo by increasing our focus on early years care and support.
We believe by working with children and supporting their families we can provide and environment which will allow young people to reach their full potential and all their developmental milestones.
If we get this right we can help keep more children attend and stay in school and ease the burden on the welfare, justice, alcohol and other drugs treatment systems.
While early years is a focus rest assured we will continue to deliver the services and programs to care for everyone through the life journey.
Bendigo Community Health Services is funded by state and commonwealth government health programs but we also make great use of all community donations and sponsorships.
